Just saw these beautiful books on flavorwire. It’s hard to pick a favorite. I love them all! This reminds me of the Tim Burton exhibit going on at the MoMA and how I can’t wait to see his version of Alice and Wonderland with Johnny Depp.

I finally made it over to the Brooklyn Flea in Fort Greene. It was so fun to walk around all the shops, I just love flea markets! Here are some of my favorites…
1. MACHA Jewelry by Bernice Kelly
I stopped by Bernice’s tent where she was selling some of her beautiful handcrafted pieces. I picked up a gorgeous set of bangles that I just love. She also had some great vintage clothing. Be sure to stop by and say “hi” she will be there for the next couple of weeks!
These beautiful photos by John Murphy really caught my eye. The colors are just so bright and beautiful. They’re sure to make you very happy even on a cold winter day! The frames really complement the photographs nicely and are almost as interesting as the photographs themselves. Check out his shop on etsy, be sure to stop by his tent and say “hi”!
While I was in Florida we visited this great little shop in Northwood. Walking inside was an experience the colors and textures were all so beautiful. They sell vintage furniture that has been reupholstered, along with lighting and other interesting items for the home. I hope to come back to Florida and sell jewelry outside this shop during the street fair they have every third Saturday. One of the owners Cheryl Maeder also has some of her beautiful photographs on display.
While strolling around my new neighborhood, I stumbled upon this fragrant herb shop Flower Power. If the spellbound characters inside weren’t enough to set my mind at ease, sipping the lemon verbena tea I bought should do the trick. I Love the simple packaging.

And then a month and now we have moved from our lovely West Village Studio to a one bedroom alcove in the East Village. I am excitedly decorating the kitchen which boasts two windows. So what if they look into a light shaft they’re beautiful. Now I am inspired to start fresh. Almost everyday I walk by Broadway Panhandler while on my way to wichcraft for my soy latte and today I stopped and picked up lots of goodies. Including my new favorite cleaner, Mrs. Meyer’s Lemon Verbena. What can I say it smells so yummy and it’s all natural, well almost. And since the kitchen is small it looks good sitting on the counter. It has made cleaning much more enjoyable and what more can you ask for. Before this I was creating a mixture with vinegar, soap and water. This pretty much made the apartment smell like a garden salad. Now it just smells like a garden.
p.s. this is my first post and it is about a cleaning product. I hope things get a little more interesting!
p.p.s. As a crafty person and a designer. I can’t help, but ask myself if I could make this? Why not right? I think I will try, to be continued…
